Apple unveiled the latest iPhone 14 Series, which consists of iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, at a special live event held yesterday (September 7). iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max smartphones are the most prominent of these four models. The reason for this is that both of these have a pill-shaped notch and an always-on display with the superior A16 Bionic Chipset. Now let’s talk about this iPhone 14 Series in detail.
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14+
Both of these devices have a Super Retina Display, which is mainly divided into two models, 14 and 14+, due to the difference in the sizes of the two displays. The iPhone 14 has a 6.1-inch display and the 14+ has a 6-inch display.
These two devices are available in 5 color types namely Midnight, Starlight, Blue, Purple, and Product (RED).
Both the 14 and 14+ devices contain the same A15 Bionic chipset used in the iPhone 13.
iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max
You and all of us have been waiting for these two models until they were unveiled. Now let’s talk in detail about the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max devices.
Consisting of sizes of 6.1 and 6.7 inches, they have used a Pill Shaped Hole for the Front Cam. Another Proximity Sensor is used under this pill hole and when notifications arrive, beautiful animations are displayed through this pill hole. Apple has named this Dynamic Island.
A new feature called always-on display was introduced to the lock screen of iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. Through that, it is possible to view time, notifications, and reminders without waking up on the phone. iOS 16 darkens the wallpapers on the lock screen to save the battery in this Always display.
The Apple A16 Bionic Chipset powers the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max devices. Through this, battery efficiency, display, and camera have been given more priority. It has a 6 Core CPU and they are divided into high-efficiency and high-performance cores.
Talking about the camera, for the first time a 48-megapixel sensor has been used instead of a 12-megapixel sensor for the iPhone. Low-light shooting is slightly improved with this redesigned main cam.
The ultrawide cam improves macrophotography and provides a 3x boost in low light. Apple has also improved the flasher in the iPhone 14 camera system, making it twice as bright as before. Cinematic mode now supports 4K resolution 30fps and 24fps.
Overall, the iPhone 14 Pro offers much more than minor updates to last year’s iPhone 13 Pro models, including a 120Hz ProMotion higher refresh rate and three new cameras.
The base iPhone 14 model costs $799, while the 14 Plus costs $899. Pre-orders will start on September 9, with deliveries starting on September 16 for the iPhone 14 and October 7 for the 14 Plus.
The iPhone 14 Pro costs $999, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max costs $1,099. Both will be available in-store on September 16th and will be available for pre-order on September 9th.
